Sail Over the Turquoise Waters of the Caribbean on Catamaran Flying Ginny
Enjoy a fabulous family sailing vacation on the famous Flying Ginny.
For many years now Flying Ginny has been one of the most requested BVI catamaran sailboats for our guest’s ultimate yacht charter experience. Wonderful accommodations for up to 10 guests in 5 queen cabins.Flying Ginny offers a small difference to guests, the layout is different than 90% of all other catamarans. Her French designers felt that the day area was far more important to guests than the night area and as such space was reallocated from the night area producing an enormous salon, as well as a significant cock-pit day area.
The salon is far larger than most other catamarans; the galley (kitchen) is down in one hull away from the dining area and salon.
All cabins are set in the hulls of the catamaran to save space and all 4 guests’ toilets are private as are electric. One cabin has 2 single beds inside which cannot be converted into a queen and then guests have 4 queens cabins from which to choose their sleeping quarters.
Your Luxury Caribbean Yacht Charter Awaits You.
Catamarans are great. There is significantly more room on them compared to mono-hulls sailboats. Both mono-hulls and power yachts have much smaller width to length ratios that are generally 20-25%. Whereas a catamarans' ratios ranges from 45-50% creating much more surface area. Flying Ginny is 58' long and an amazing 31' wide.
Plus, the design of a cat reduces the roll and sway providing a considerably smoother cruising experience and enjoying a sailing vacation in a Caribbean paradise.
All BVI catamaran sailboats need a top captain and chef team which leads us to Captain Shannon Earle and the wonderful and talented Kerry Murphy.
An experienced yacht racer, this eventually lead Shannon to Youth Team Leader for a fleet of tall ships doing cruises in and around California's Channel Islands, on a 137 ft schooner and a pair of square-rigged brigantines. He eventually made his way through the Panama Canal and sailed from the Mayan Riviera to New England on a variety of large yachts. Shannon is a worldly adventurer, eager to share experiences with guests and crew while providing impeccable 6-star service.
It was in 2001 with her love of adventure and challenge that Kerry changed her passion for sailing and diving into a career. Kerry has always loved to cook in her spare time and has completed a advanced culinary courses in London. As a chef/hostess, she is both friendly and attentive to guests' needs and wants.
Flying Ginny VII is truly one of a kind catamaran for family sailing vacations.
